Dear valued visitors

In trying to determine the quality of our service, few things speak louder and carry more meaning than first-hand experiences and personal testimony. In an effort to try to give you a clear idea of who we are, what we stand for, and how we operate our business, we would like to share some of the thousands of testimonials that we have received from members of tours, guided treks, and expeditions over the years.
As part of Earthbound Expeditions's ongoing efforts to keep improving the way we do business and continue to meet or exceed client's expectations, we ask each client who joins us to pass along their thoughts and feedback in a formal manner. We make this possible via a written form and also via our web site in an electronic format.
We take both positive feedback and constructive criticism to heart and use it to assure that we continue to give traveller's like you a great experience.
Over a decade, we have introduced hundreds of people from all over the world to the joys of tour, trekking and mountaineering in Himalaya ( India - Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan). Many of them have returned and traveled with us again on new and different adventures. We believe our friends and clients are our best references. We hope you enjoy reading from this feedback, and that you will join an Earthbound Expeditions's tour and trek and share some of the rich experiences that our programs and staff have to offer.

We certainly will endorse Earthbound Expeditions and suggest it to any person we will meet who will be planning to travel in the Himalayan area - we actually hope to come back for a trekking some day in Nepal. Comments about Kathmandu - Everest - Lhasa tour by Helene & Paul, June - 2007

Dear Rajan,
First of all I would like to apologize for late reply.
Paul and myself relly enjoyed the Tibet - EBC Trip you have arranged for us. It really gave us a good first taste (for a full taste one have to spend more than 10 days in Tibet!) of Tibet and its cultural / religious attractions as well as its landscape and beautiful mountains.

The trip was very well arranged, with the best possible choice of accomodation as well as of the Tibetan guide and driver. Not only this made the trip an unmissible and unforgettable experience, but as well your candid preparation and description of what we have to expect in Tibet and how certain situations are best dealt with. We also enjoyed the few days in Nepal before and after the the trip to Tibet, where Rajan and his team made sure we got the most out of the 3 days we spent in Napal.
Many thanks again for this great trip and we will cetainly get in touch again when we plan our next trip to the Himalayan region.

Comments about Kailash - Mansarovar tour by Raj and Team ( 11 pax), July - Aug. 2006

To Whom It May Concern,
We would like to convey our sincerest thanks to Rajan for making our trip to Kailash Mansarovar a dream come true. A group of 11 of us set out to begin our trip from Katmandu. Rajan and his team of Sherpas and jeep drivers treated us like family and our trip began wonderfully and remained so for the duration. They took care of the needs of each individual as well as the group; they catered to every detail with the utmost of care and attention. Every aspect of our trip was carefully thought out and planned with great consideration. He selected truly remarkable spots for us to carry out our Puja’s and ceremonies, a true sign of someone who has put their heart and soul into making this trip and extraordinary experience. Despite the weather conditions we never experienced any kind of discomfort. Rajan and his team ensured the comfort and health of the group was held as the highest priority. He is someone of the highest integrity, extremely joyous company. The group agreed that he was a fantastic guide, who integrated so well into our group. He was warm and very friendly. Our trip was full of laughter and love. Our warmest thanks to Rajan, Shree Ram, Sarki, Gambu, Mwali and Mirmanr the cook who all looked after us like family. We have another trip planned in the year 2008 with Rajan. Kailash is a truly magical place, but words cannot express how this beauty was bought to life by Rajan and his team. If you would like to know more about our trip and our experience with Earthbound Expeditions please write to us via email

Dear Mr. Rajan,
I would like to express my sincere thanks to you for making our Muktinath trip so memorable and convenient. With five out of eight persons over 65 years of age and the weather playing the spoil sports, our trip would not be successful and easy with out your help and expertise. All the eight members of our group wanted to thank you separately. Every one was very happy to be part of your trip and want to take your help when ever they visit Nepal. Your arrangement of the transportation and hotels were excellent and we do not have word to express our thanks. In spite of out time constraints and the unpredictable weather, you made our trip easy and enjoyable. We were very impressed with your professional approach and the way you took care of minute details including the pure veg food for our group and special arrangements for the elderly persons.
AS regards Kailash trip, I am trying to work out some thing and I believe this will be possible only next year some where in June/ July. In any case I will be in touch with you once I made some progress in this regards.
Thanks once again for your help and very good arrangement for our trip. Best regards

Earthbound Expeditions, Kathmandu, Nepal
Dear Mr. Simkhada:

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us realize our lifelong dream of circumambulating Mount Kailash and taking a bath in Lake Manasarover. The 35 days trip that you planned and led for the two of us plus Ms. Lydia Kersbergen, Holland, was beyond our expectations. (May 16 thru June 20, 2004. Las Vegas - Kathmandu - Naylam - Saga - Parang - Manasarovar - Darchen - Mt Kailash - Tharpoche - Tingri - Mt. Everest Base Camp - Lhatse - Shigatse - Gyantse - Lhasa- Kathmandu - Las Vegas)
Your team of three Nepalese and three Tibetans worked very well together. In fact, within a few days of the journey, we were all like one big family. Our Toyota Landcruiser driver, Mr. Tsering, is one of the best drivers and mechanics that I have ever met. He made us feel very safe thru all those treacherous mountain passes. Out Tibetan guide, Mr.Tenthar was very helpful and eager to please. His attitude made up for his basic English speaking skills. Our Nepalese cook, Mr. Gambu Sherpa, made such wonderful food throughout the trip that we were afraid of gaining weight! Thanks to Mr. Gambu, we had three real fresh baked cakes to celebrate our anniversary, my birthday and our farewell. We also want to thank you for taking time off from your busy schedule and personally accompanying us throughout the journey and helping us with the three-day trek around Mt. Kailash. I don't think we would have been able to complete the three-day trek by own feet at our age without your constant guidance and help
We will definitely visit Nepal and Tibet again. We hope to do next year the lodge-to-lodge trekking in Nepal. Once again, thank you for the successful planning and leading of our once-in-a-life spiritual journey and trekking adventure.
P.S. If you want you can use us as reference
if any body want to call us or e-mail us to talk directly they are welcome!

Comments by: Lydia Kersbergen, from Holland, May - June 2004 about Tibet - Kailash - Lhasa - Kathmandu Tour

Dear Rajan,
From May 18th till June 19th your travel agency Earthbound Expeditions took us on a breathtaking journey to Tibet.
For my fellow travelers Subitha and Raja to fulfill their religious wish to make the khora around Lake Manasarovar and Mount Kailash. And for me to visit one of the most holy and unspoiled places on this earth. For all three of us the journey of a lifetime!
Already in making the itinerary and preparing us for this journey you showed your experience.
You planned enough time to acclimatize to the Tibetan plateau, to do Lake Manasarovar khora before Mount Kailash khora and finish it before June 2nd so we could enjoy Saga Dawa festival in Tharboche.
Including the visit to Everest Base Camp was a good idea. Some stunning views on the way up there. From there to Lhasa the roads and hotels were getting better and we became tourists in stead of pilgrims. Shigatse, Gyantse and finally three days in Lhasa offered us the highlights of Tibetan culture.
During our stay in West Tibet the Nepali crew with you as our guide, Gambu Sherpa as our chef-cook and Ram Chandra Sapkota as assistant proved of immense importance.
Without your arrangements, support and good care the trip would never have been so successful and pleasant. The equipment you provided like tents, sleeping bags, down jackets were very good.
It still amazes me how Gambu Sherpa managed to make such wonderful meals in such difficult conditions. He surprised us every day!
Of the Tibetan crew, truck driver Tashi, jeep driver Tsering and guide Tenthar especially Cijilag (Tsering) excelled. He is our nominee for Tibet’s Best Driver. After almost 4 weeks of safe driving he expressed his friendship by inviting us to his home in Lhasa.
Before the journey I did not realize that you planned our stay in Nepal so wonderful!
We really appreciated that our journey started and ended in the luxury of Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. Not only did we visit the most interesting places in Kathmandu like Durbar square, (Kumari Devi!) Pashupatinath, Bodhnath and Thamel. You also took us to Patan and Bhaktapur and we stayed the night at Nagarkot, to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the view of the Himalayas.
What you showed us of Nepal makes me want to come back. I’m sure that you have lots of interesting proposals (Mustang maybe?)
Last but not least I want to thank you for guiding us personally.
Your knowledge of so many topics and your humor makes you a great traveling companion. Thank you Rajan !
